My Project

This AR project is a filter with 4 switches (you can switch to 4 different filters) and is made with Spark AR.

In the beginning, I had thought of creating an AR App that could help you learn a different language but as I understood that I wouldn't be able to finish the project on time, I changed it to a simpler filter.

To create this filter, I had to refer to many tutorials and websites to understand how you could switch scenes, add different objects, and add audio. Firstly, I created four "Plane" objects to switch to when the user taps on the screen. All four filters were made using a "Plane" object as the parent container and two other plane objects to add to the screen.

So, each filter was created in the following way:

• Happy Filter: This plane included two other plane objects; one was created to add a yellow tint, and the other was used to add yellow stars.

• Sad Filter: This plane also included two plane objects; one was created to add a grey tint, and the other was used to add raindrops.
  

• "Cool" Filter: This plane is different from the rest. It had a plane object to add a purple tint and a face tracker to add sunglasses.
  

• Cute Filter: This plane had 2 other objects like the first two filters. One was to add a pink tint, and the other to add cherry blossoms.

Then to add audio to each filter, I created 4 audio playback controllers and 4 speakers for each controller. Then, I added the respective audio to each controller and the controllers to each speaker.

Now in order to make the filters switch when the screen is tapped, I added a patch. A screenshot of the same is attached below.

Reflection

Working on this AR project was a great experience that helped me boost my creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I learned a lot about augmented reality and how it can be used in everyday life, such as creating fun filters for visual content.

Experimenting with AR features and techniques allowed me to design unique and engaging filters. This project helped me realize my interest in new technologies like AR.
